About Holders Technology UK

Holders Technology was founded in 1972 by Rudi Weinreich, as a company selling high speed motors and control equipment to the UK Printed Circuit Board (“PCB”) industry. Over the next 50 years the company extended its business internationally, with subsidiaries in Europe, India and China fabricating and distributing specialist PCB products.

In 2010, the company diversified into the Lighting industry, through the purchase of a UK distributor specialising in LEDs and related components.  Holders Technology started selling Casambi wireless lighting controls in 2016 and has now become a key strategic partner of Casambi.

Lighting control divisions were set up in Germany (2010), and Austria (also serving Switzerland, Czech Republic and Slovakia), and France (2020).  Holders Technology Data Analytics, which provides dashboard visualisations of both lighting and non-lighting applications, was started in 2020.

In 2021, a Joint Venture was set up to support Australian and New Zealand.

Holders Technology benefits from global supplier partnerships across the Casambi ecosystem, a full range of project services and data analytics capability, and an exceptional technical and support team.

Holders Technology is committed to the vision of a wireless future. Holders Technology maintains the values of a family business: long-term relationships with all stakeholders, honesty, and integrity. These values are shared with Casambox Australia and support our collaborative working partnership.

As the specialists in Casambi Technology, Holders Technology Australia provides local capability supported by the international Holders family

I recently moved to Perth, Western Australia from Birmingham, UK in late 2023. I've spent roughly 12 years in the lighting industry after starting off by completing an electrical apprenticeship with one of the UK's leading lighting manufacturers. During this time, I progressed down the path of lighting controls commissioning and then in to technical sales.

One of my earliest lighting memories was putting mains voltage directly on to a first off sample LED received for testing from Asia, it's safe to say my manager at the time wasn't too happy! Since then, I've managed and overseen some of Casambi's largest projects in the World including some complex integrations in to BMS and A/V systems. I truly believe that Casambi is a market leading lighting controls system having been involved with many others, we are able to design, develop and provide a solution to any customer in any field with this system.

Outside of work, I'm an avid fitness and running fan, going to the gym every morning before work starts and often exploring the Perth coastline and hills over the weekend.

Having specialised in project delivery and business operations excellence within the electrical distribution sector for the previous 16 years.  I have been involved in major projects, enabling our clients to have the right information and materials available to deliver successful outcomes. From design through to DIFOTS procurement, followed by supportive implementation for the Electrician and End Client.

With a high level of technical capability and a systematic approach to the organisational requirements; I lead the daily operations.

With a degree in information technology and experience in the telecommunications industry, including being hands-on for fibre optics installations within the domestic sector.

Being a technician on the field provided me the opportunity to quickly move into project management position where I found myself with 40+ staff and plenty of new processes to build.

I bring a “can-do” attitude from my experiences to break down a problem and build it into a working process, I’m excited about the change into the lighting control space!
