After replacing nearly 200 halogen lamps with new LED luminaires, the hotel has achieved more light (if they need it), over 85% energy savings and full control of every fitting giving them complete flexibility for their function spaces.
Energy savings and enhanced functionality were the aim of this project for Novotel. The guys at Compuroom had the lights replaced and commissioned themselves in just a couple of days. The old halogen fittings were often left on for extended periods of time burning energy and requiring regular replacements. New LED luminaires supplied by Sii Light were used to replace them with integral Casambi controls. A handful of new sensors were installed in the space paired with some wireless switches to provide flexible control for the end user.
With no requirement for any switch feeds or additional wiring, the installation was completed very quickly and the hotel can now set the space up for any event. Sensors turn the lights off when the space isn't occupied and the switches give scene control that can be reprogrammed at any time. The system has been set up for day to day conferences and presentations however up to 255 scenes could be programmed in to the system.
Retrofitting lighting controls in to a project doesn't need to be an obtrusive task, all of the above has been completed without any redecoration works or lengthy closures.
